On the morning of March 16, 2021, the 16th China Beijing International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2021) Media Symposium was held in China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA). Su Zimeng pointed out that today's meeting is of special significance under this encouraging and progressive new situation: China construction machinery industry has achieved a perfect conclusion of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", the industry's sales revenue and product sales have grown rapidly, and the industrial scale of the industry has grown from 457 billion yuan at the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" (2015) to more than 700 billion yuan in 2020, but in general, there are still weak links in the foundation capacity of the industry, the modernization level of the industry chain needs to be further improved, and the reliability and durability of some products need to be further enhanced. 2021 started well for the industry, and is expected to maintain a steady growth throughout the year. According to the CCMA's statistics, as the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the opening year, the industry's key enterprises of main product sales from January to February this year got off to a flying start, all kinds of product sales have achieved steady growth.

China construction machinery industry will face good development opportunities during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and the implementation of a series of important initiatives proposed in The 14th Five-Year Plan and the Outline of Long Term Goals for 2035 for National Economic and Social Development of China (hereinafter referred to as "Outline") will bring a broader space for innovative development of the construction machinery industry. From the analysis of market demand, the development strategy, target tasks, major projects and key projects proposed in the Outline will continue to enhance the market demand for construction machinery, especially the infrastructure construction, regional development layout, urban and rural construction and livelihood protection projects, etc., all need the participation of construction machinery manufacturers, which is also an important driving force of sustained growth for the future of China construction machinery market.

Wu Peiguo said that the preparatory work for BICES 2021 will enter a full-fledged phase based on the achievements achieved in the previous stage. Wu Peiguo then introduced the preparatory work of BICES 2021: due to the recognition of BICES brand, as well as the good expectation of the epidemic, exhibitors are currently registering enthusiastically, and both the number and the area are significantly more than the same period last year; The thirteen exhibition areas have been formed basically; Visitor organization is in full swing, and the planned direct invitations to user units include large engineering contractors, construction units, leasing companies, engineering companies and other construction machinery owners and users of more than 20,000 people, especially the general contracting enterprises with special qualifications; Authoritative activities during the exhibition are under preparation, we will hold more than one hundred conferences, forums, live interactive experience and other special activities during BICES 2021, also many major media involved in the organization of the same period of meetings and activities; The exhibition operation services will also be greatly enhanced, with more efficient and attentive service solutions implemented in the exhibition area, such as visitor guidance, venue security, traffic and logistics, and catering services, etc; We will also pay close attention to the policies and requirements on epidemic prevention from the government and exhibition industry, and make contingency plans accordingly; BICES 2021 also has new expansions and enhancements in terms of activities, publicity channels, publicity content and publicity density: various forms of publicity and promotion activities about BICES 2021 have been held successively; publicity channels have been increased and released exhibition information through the association's members and key exhibitors’ websites, Wechat etc; three columns of BICES were created, they are series of special reports, exhibitor style and small classroom.

CCPIT-MSC has visited many provincial and municipal units of the trade promotion system and the department of commerce to expand the publicity and influence of BICES, fully understand the subsidy policy of the local authorities for domestic exhibitions, and strive to reduce the pressure for enterprises to participate in BICES and strive to facilitate cooperation, and some local business offices considering the introduction of corresponding subsidy policies for enterprises to participate in domestic exhibitions. At the same time, as the secretariat of SME Service Committee under the leadership of CCMA, since its establishment last year, we have conducted in-depth research on the development and growth of SMEs, visited typical SMEs of the industry, and accumulated a lot of experience worth learning and promoting in the integrated development of large and medium-sized enterprises advocated by the state. We are also planning to showcase more emerging enterprises through BICES and provide a bigger stage for them, and jointly dedicate a wonderful and grand construction machinery industry exhibition.
